Ballpoint Pen on Cardboard, 10,5 x 14,8 cm, January 2018
A figurative artwork is never instantaneous. Inside, you can reads, or better, one should read, the path and the method at its conception.
Ballpoint Pen of Cardboard, 40 x 32 cm, December 2017.
The reading of the progression of the drawing can be understood by looking at the work very closely. An experience that no scans or photographs can return. The documentation of the work, however, requires a catalog even if its partial interpenetration refers to a necessarily mediated reading, here on the web, always.
PICK PIECES The Ballpointer staff choose the artwork and let the artist explain it in their own words. Thank you to Ronald Bell and Ballpointer staff for choosing “The Elemental Landscape”
The sign of the pen, in this case, can be traced in a decisive manner or slightly almost touching the surface.
Although the image appears suddenly and is not narrated as in literature or in music, my goal is identify the path of the sign, probably because that’s where it happens the work of art.
Soon I shall have occasion to tell in a video what I mean by what I wrote.
