The choice of symmetry characterizes all the figurative experience, in all its variations and evolutions. The distribution of the shape in space comes into play immediately after the execution of the sign. Sign and space collaborate for the reconstruction of the universe through a surface delimited in length and in width, but unlimited in depth.

La scelta della simmetria caratterizza tutta l’esperienza figurativa, in tutte le sue declinazioni ed evoluzioni. La distribuzione della forma nello spazio, entra in gioco, subito dopo l’esercizio sul segno. Segno e spazio collaborano per la ricostruzione dell’universo attraverso una superficie delimitata in lunghezza e in larghezza, ma illimitata nella profondità.

There is no noise inside the drawing, no sound is thought. The only and unavoidable vibration is the sound memory of the pen on the sheet, that has left here its testimony.

Non c’è rumore all’interno del disegno, nessun suono è pensato. L’unica ed inevitabile vibrazione è la memoria sonora della penna sul foglio, che ha lasciato qui la sua testimonianza.

The landscape is fully realized in the second half of the nineteenth century. The legacy left by painters, for example, like Constable is enormous and it is not easy to paint a landscape without confront with these giants. However I feel the need to bring on the paper or on the tablet screen the suggestions that the spectacle of nature continues to give. Perhaps someone one day surely will know how to date these works of mine from elements that today completely escape me.
